ASSA ABLOY will be showcasing a range of industry-leading technology-based security and access control solutions at IFSEC 2011, designed to provide the complete security solution for Security, Facilities and Estate Managers working across a wide range of industries.
Visitors to Stand C50 in Hall 4 will be able to discover more about ASSA ABLOY’s Aperio enabling technology, which uses smart technology to enable the wireless integration of mechanical locks into existing access control systems with minimal door modification. This allows easy and cost effective expansion of existing locking systems within refurbished or remodeled public and commercial buildings.
This provides Facilities Managers and Security Managers working in a variety of commercial and public buildings, with a simple and cost effective way of upgrading the controllability and security level of their premises. Plus, whilst many doors, riser and server cupboards are secured using traditional mechanical security, the impact of losing a key and compromising the master key system is significant. Aperio eliminates this issue, by utilising the existing online access control system that the building owner has already invested in.
ASSA ABLOY will also be launching Cliq Remote at the show; an internet-based security management system that allows programming of cylinders and keys to provide remote access control across disparate sites requiring high levels of security.
Cliq Remote can also assist Facilities and Security Managers in security policy management, administration and budgeting. Enforced key updates, the deletion of lost or stolen keys, reduced time schedules and a rationalised number of reusable keys for use by contractors or similar visitors make it a cost effective and secure solution.
Other innovations on display will include ASSA ABLOY’s HiO (Highly Intelligent Opening) technology for electronic door components, in conjunction with Trimec electric strikes. This future-proof system provides advanced diagnostic information by building intelligence into each device instead of a centralised logic unit, allowing the health of the door opening to be easily communicated.
This advanced feature enables the replacement of malfunctioning components before they breakdown, which pre-empts costly reactive repairs, helps to create a more secure environment and enables budgets to be more tightly controlled.
Now available in the UK from ASSA ABLOY, a range of Trimec electromechanical locking solutions will be on display, including the new ES2100 monitored strike. The ES9000, ES6000 and ES110 electric strikes will also be on show, alongside the Vlock motorised bolt and TB25 and TB38 drop bolts.
ASSA ABLOY will also be showcasing its Codehandle – a sleek lever handle that features an integral five-button keypad, which provides a simple, cost-effective way to restrict access to private areas of light commercial and residential buildings. For Facilities and Security Managers working in busy environments it enables access without the hassle of distributing and managing keys.
Plus, visitors to the stand will be able to view the new range of CE marked door closers from ASSA ABLOY, including two cam-motion models that will assist building owners in meeting Equality Act 2010 guidelines. A rack and pinion variant is also available with the same installation footprint, allowing for greater flexibility.
Finally, ASSA ABLOY will be displaying a range of high security steel doors from the ASSA ABLOY Security Doors division; alongside Cliq Protec technology, a hybrid electromechanical locking solution; and a selection of electric strikes from Abloy, including the new EL466 and EL566 locks.
Paul Browne, Business Development Director for ASSA ABLOY UK, said: “Exhibiting at IFSEC provides us with an opportunity to advise Facilities and Security Managers about our complete security solution. We operate across a wide spectrum of end-user markets and our products range from cost-effective mechanical security solutions to state-of-the-art enabling technologies, so we can provide security for all areas of a building.
“This year’s show promises to be our most exciting yet and we’re expecting to generate a lot of interest in some of our newer, smart technology solutions, such as the Aperio, Cliq and HiO systems.”
