Application
The DAC-430 Control Unit provides the intelligence of the
Connect motor lock system, and allows it to be integrated with a
wide variety of other equipment. It may be used with a simple
switch, or linked to sophisticated access control, building
management, and alarm systems.
For electrical details see Electric Locking Information
appendix.
For use with any Connect serial motor lock. One control unit is
required per lock. It accepts inputs from any suitable switch,
timer or host control system. A full range of status indicators and
alarm outputs is incorporated.
Four wiring system - 2 wires for power supply, 2 wires for
communication. Provides secure encrypted communication.
Should be mounted in a secure area. Not for external use.
Specification
Suitable for connection to voltage free contacts from a switch
or control system. These can provide either simple unlocking, or an
override function where the lock remains unlocked after the first
authorised opening signal until the function is turned off
again.
The position of the bolt and door is monitored, and alarms will
activate if the motor lock is prevented from opening properly.
The bolt will automatically re-lock if the door is not opened
within a specified time.
If the bolt is blocked for any reason, the system will
repeatedly attempt to throw it again. This is done at 5-second
intervals to prevent the motor burning out.
